Meetings and Events in 2013

Installation of 2013 Officers and Business Meeting meeting
February February Program will be in Honor of Black History Month
and the featured speaker is Felecia Hampshire, Green Cove Springs City Council Member and Former Mayor.

Felecia Hampshire was born and reared in Green Cove Springs, attending Clay High School and enjoying meals at Dunbar High School.  She attended Bethune Cookman, St Johns Community and Santa Fe colleges receiving a certificate in Early Childhood Education.

In her career with the Clay County School Board as an Administered Assistant, she has been appointed to the Florida Education Association Executive Cabinet and American Federation of Teachers. In addition she is a founding member of Parents Working for Community Involvement, and the ever-popular Soul Food Festival.

Mrs. Hampshire’s proudest accomplishments are her marriage to High School Sweetheart Clarence for 32 years, and becoming the 1st African-American Woman Mayor of Green Cove Springs.

Our History & Railroad Museums will continually be open on Sundays, 2pm – 5pm at 915 Walnut Street in Green Cove Springs.

Learn and enjoy moments through our county’s timeline with Mr. Bentley’s power point and
simulation of an H.G. Wells style, “Clay County Time Machine”
